Designing the Perfect Crushing Line: From Jaw to VSI Sand Making

How to Design a Complete Crushing & Sand Making PlantKeywords: stone crushing plant layout, aggregate production line, jaw cone VSI crusher flow.
A successful quarry isn't just a collection of machines; it's a synchronized system. Here is the classic "3-Stage" configuration for high-quality aggregate and sand production.
Stage 1: Primary Crushing (The Jaw)
Goal: Size Reduction (1000mm down to 150mm).
Machine: Vibrating Feeder + Jaw Crusher. The Jaw handles the shock of big rocks.
Stage 2: Secondary Crushing (The Cone or Impact)
Goal: Shaping and Sizing (150mm down to 40mm).
Machine:
Cone Crusher: For hard stones (Granite). High pressure, efficient.
Impact Crusher: For soft stones (Limestone). Good shape, lower cost.
Stage 3: Tertiary Crushing (The VSI)
Goal: Sand Making and Shaping (40mm down to 0-5mm sand).
Machine: VSI Sand Maker. This step corrects the shape of stones from the cone crusher and produces premium manufactured sand.
Final Stage: Screening
Machine: Vibrating Screen. Separates the output into saleable sizes (e.g., 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm). Oversized material is sent back to the VSI or Cone for re-crushing (Closed Circuit).
A balanced line minimizes bottlenecks and energy waste.
